However, the sad news is that the creators of the show have declared that the season will be its last. The plot of season 5 is not known yet, but the cast and creators have already given us some hints.
The Duffer Brothers stated that the "entire story arc" was mapped out seven years ago and that season five would mark the completion of that plan in a statement when season 5 was initially revealed.
It looks like season 5 will be something of an emotional rollercoaster ride, similar to previous seasons.
