Today is the 98th Birthday of Sri Badrivishal Pitti who was a committed Socialist and promotor Arts, Literature. Music and other fine Arts. He did the yeoman service of collecting and publishing the speeches and articles of Dr. Lohia including his debates in Lok Sabha in 23 vols. Sri Pittiji was himself a member of Andhrapradesh Legislative Assembly during the period from 1967-1972 elected of Samyukta Socialist Party ticket from Maharajgunj constituency in Hyderabad city. He actively participated in the Assembly debates raising the issues related to poor and downtrodden sections of the Society like price rise, unemployment, law and orders etc. He used to prepare for the Assembly debates by seating till midnight in the tiled office of the Samyukta Socialist party in Lal Girji Muth., Begum Bazar, Hyderabad. We were witnessed to that. There used to be frequent electricity breakdown but he used to prepare for thr debates under candle lights. Such was his commitment. The ruling Party used to take his comments seriously though he was the lone member of S. S. P. He was considered as a One Man Army. His comments and views expressed in Assembly debates are relevent even now and can guide in shaping policies to solve the problems.
